Do I need strong Wi-Fi in my garage for a smart opener?
You need a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal that reaches the opener — most smart garage systems don't use the 5 GHz band. Garages in Arizona are often at the far end of the house from the router, so we test the signal at the opener as part of every install.
