The Series 500 can be configured with the following window insert designs and glass finishes — straight from Invicta's factory catalog for this specific door.
Elongated window designs that span the full width of a panel — more architectural presence and more natural light.
Wide arched top with craftsman detailing
Wide arched top with divided-lite grid
Elongated curved-lite pattern
Elongated Prairie-style border
Straight craftsman-style row
4-pane divided-lite panel
8-pane divided-lite panel — most windows for the most light
Wide plain-rectangle pane
Invicta offers four glass finishes across every window insert style. Pick the balance of natural light and privacy that fits your garage.

Fully transparent — the logo behind reads sharp and clear. Maximum natural light in the garage.

Textured pattern — the logo becomes a soft, blurred shape. Privacy while letting light through.

Uniformly frosted — the logo is barely visible as a faint outline. The most privacy, softest light.

Grey-tinted transparency — the logo is still visible but muted. Cuts sun glare, modern look.
These aren't separate glass options — they're construction upgrades that let you take any Clear, Obscured, Acid Etched, or Grey Tinted finish and make it safer or more thermally efficient.
Every Series 500 is available in three insulation tiers. Same panel design, three levels of thermal performance and quiet operation. Here's how the constructions actually compare — and which one we recommend most often for Arizona garages.
Good

Non-insulated single-layer steel
Best for: Detached garages, shops, or homes where the garage doesn't share a wall with conditioned living space.
Better

Polystyrene-insulated with vinyl backing
Best for: Attached garages where you want noticeably cooler interior temps than the #06 tier without paying for the premium sandwich construction. A solid mid-tier choice.
Best

2-inch polyurethane sandwich panel
Best for: The strongest thermal performance and quietest operation Invicta makes — the tier we recommend most often for Arizona summers. Ideal for attached garages next to bedrooms, living rooms, or finished workshops.
Not sure which tier fits your home? We'll walk you through it during your free quote — no upsell pressure.
Every Series 500 we install ships with Invicta's full residential warranty — real coverage on the finish that holds up in Arizona sun, and on the mechanical parts that do the heavy work every day.
Covers material manufacturing defects and workmanship: splitting, cracking, peeling, and rusting on the exterior finish.
Covers all functional hardware (hinges, rollers, track) and the springs — the parts that actually do the work every time your door cycles.

About your installer
When you install a Series 500 with Farnsworth Garage Door Service, you're working with an authorized Invicta dealer serving Mesa and the greater Phoenix area. We order your door direct from Invicta's factory, our own team measures, delivers, and installs it — no subcontractors — and we handle warranty support locally, so you deal with us instead of corporate.
Factory-direct ordering, faster lead times, and full manufacturer warranty protection — the kind of relationship you don't get from a big-box retailer or a national franchise.
Every Invicta door we sell is installed by Farnsworth technicians. We don't subcontract to whoever's cheapest that week. One accountable team from first quote to final adjustment.
If a section warps, a finish fades, or hardware fails inside the warranty window, we file the claim with Invicta on your behalf and coordinate the repair. You call us — not a manufacturer 1-800 line.
Farnsworth Garage Door Service is family-owned and lives in the same Phoenix-metro neighborhoods our customers do. We're not driving in from out of state to install and disappear.

The Invicta Series 500 long carriage house is our most-requested door in newer North Scottsdale builds, DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Paradise Valley custom homes, and Fountain Hills. Its elongated panel proportions read cleaner and more modern-luxury than a traditional carriage-house design, but retain enough architectural detail to sit comfortably next to contemporary stucco facades, board-formed concrete, and dark trim. When we walk architects and interior designers through the Invicta lineup for high-end remodels, the Series 500 is almost always the door they choose.
Because the Series 500 is our contemporary-carriage flagship, most of our installs go on higher-end insulation and construction tiers. The polyurethane sandwich Series 518 (R-9.7, 2-inch construction, 27/27-gauge steel on both sides) is the tier we install most often — it delivers the thermal performance and quiet operation these homes expect. The 518's clean interior steel face also matches well with the pristine garage interiors these homeowners keep.

The Series 500 pairs beautifully with clean rectangular window inserts in Grey Tinted glass and the modern smooth (no-wood-grain) finish. Ask us during your free in-home quote and we'll show you renderings of your specific opening in the finishes and windows you're considering.

The questions Arizona homeowners ask us most when they're choosing a Series 500.
Not for the right home — the Series 500 flush panel is exactly the point on a modern, minimalist, or desert-contemporary design. The door "disappears" against a clean stucco facade so the architecture reads as one continuous shape rather than being interrupted by a busy panel design. On a traditional home, though, a flush door can feel too commercial — we'd suggest the Series 100 or 400 there.
The Series 500 is our most-requested door in newer North Scottsdale and DC Ranch builds, contemporary custom homes in Paradise Valley, and modern desert-style builds throughout Fountain Hills and the higher-end Gilbert developments. It's also popular for full home remodels where the homeowner is modernizing the exterior and wants the garage door to fade into the facade.
The smooth (no-wood-grain) finish is almost always the right pick on a Series 500 — it emphasizes the clean, uninterrupted flush face that's the whole point of the design. Wood-grain embossing on a flush door can feel like a contradiction (you're creating texture on a door designed to have none). If you want the warmth of wood on a modern facade, the Novus wood-tone line is a better path than adding wood-grain texture to a Series 500.
Yes — and it can look great on a contemporary home. A single horizontal row of small square or rectangular windows near the top of the door adds a strong horizontal line that reinforces the modern-desert aesthetic. Full horizontal glass strips (like a "sky window" strip) are also available on the Series 500 for a really striking architectural statement. Frosted or smoke glass keeps the modern feel intact.
The flush face is more forgiving than you might expect — dings tend to be small enough to catch light only from certain angles. At the #18 polyurethane sandwich tier, the sandwich construction also makes the panels significantly more rigid than a single-layer flush door, so it takes more force to leave a visible mark in the first place. For homes with kids on bikes or heavy driveway traffic, we'd skip the non-insulated #06 tier here.
Yes — the Series 500 is manufactured in all standard residential widths, including 16-foot and 18-foot double-car openings. The flush design actually looks even better at wider widths because there are no repeating panel divisions to visually break up the door — you get one clean rectangle across the whole opening, which is exactly what a modern facade wants.
