Novus (Model N18) — Flush Panel Wood-Tone

The Novus is a real insulated steel door with a highly detailed wood-tone finish baked onto the panels. You get the visual richness of a premium wood carriage door with none of the wood-door maintenance headaches — no refinishing, no warping in the sun, no termite worry, no annual re-staining. The steel underneath is the same top-tier polyurethane sandwich construction as our Series 18 doors, so it's also insulated, quiet, and dent-resistant.

The Novus finish is a baked-on UV-resistant coating, not a stain or paint. It holds up dramatically better in direct Arizona sun than real wood would, and it never needs re-sealing. If your door faces west or south and takes hard afternoon sun, the routine care is the same as any painted door: rinse it off with a garden hose every couple of months to knock off dust, and check the bottom weather seal once a year.

The three tones each land in a different zone. Smoked Ebony is deep and dramatic — a great contrast piece against light stucco and dark trim. Spiced Sienna reads as a warm mid-tone wood — a natural fit for Spanish and Mediterranean architecture. Whiskey Blonde is the light, sandy tone — modern and bright against desert landscaping. The finish is engineered specifically for exterior UV exposure and holds its color much longer than a real stained wood door would.
