About the Ventana Series
When contemporary looks count, the Ventana Collection is Safe-Way's statement piece: clean sleek lines, artistic freedom, and a glass wall where a garage door used to be. The engineering is honest commercial-grade — 2-inch thick tongue-and-groove aluminum sections, stiles and rails firmly attached by internal through-bolting, snap-in glazing strips, and low-profile struts (with low-visibility reinforcing struts only where the span requires them). Frames run three weights: the medium-frame Model 450 (to 14'2" wide) and heavy-frame Models 550 and 551 (to 24'2" wide and 16 feet tall).
The glass menu is the fun part: 14 standard coating options — Clear, Bronze, Smoked, Frosted, Mirrored, Reeded, Thin Reeded, Water Glass, Aquatex, Single Glue Chip, Rain Water, Obscure, Industrex — in DSB, DSB tempered, insulated, or insulated tempered builds (insulated tempered on the Model 551). Panel infill alternatives include single-thickness and insulated pebble-grain aluminum panels for privacy bands. Finishes cover clear anodized aluminum standard, the newer Dark Bronze and Black anodized options, and custom powder coat colors by factory quote — including matches to most Safe-Way door colors.
Five standard design styles set the glass grid (2, 4, 5, or 6 panels per section, with door width determining the standard count), and multiple custom panel configurations are available. On a North Scottsdale or Arcadia modern build, a Black anodized Ventana with frosted glass is the whole elevation. Want modern lines with more insulation at a lower price? Walk the SteeLite Series with us at the same appointment.

Panel Styles
Safe-Way offers this collection in more than one panel design. The designs are shown below so you can see how each one reads, and when we quote the door for your home in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, or anywhere in the Phoenix area, we'll help you pick the one that suits your stucco and trim.
Window & Glass Options
Windows are the design choice that changes a garage door most. Safe-Way offers a deep catalog of insert styles and glass finishes for this collection — arched toppers, rows of small panes, clean modern grids, tinted or privacy glass. The window and glass brochures in the Downloads section below show every insert style and glass finish full size, and we'll walk the options with you at your Phoenix-area consultation before you commit.
Glass Types & Tints
Color Options
Safe-Way factory-bakes these finishes onto the steel — a different animal than any painted-on-site touch-up. That matters in Arizona, where UV and heat chew up field paint fast.
Warranty
Every Safe-Way Ventana Series ships with the Safe-Way Consolidated Residential Warranty. Here’s what’s covered — and for how long — on the standard-build Ventana Series configuration.
- Sections on models 450, 550, and 551 warranted against rust-through due to the aluminum rusting
- Hinges, rollers, track, springs & similar hardware (all Safe-Way door models)
Coverage shown is for the standard build. Sub-tier and premium options may modify specific line items — ask Farnsworth for the exact terms on your configuration before purchase.
Verified against Safe-Way's published Warranty Information document: sections on models 450, 550, and 551 carry a 5-year limited warranty against rust-through due to the aluminum rusting. Hardware (hinges, rollers, track, springs) carries the 3-year coverage. Safe-Way does not publish a separate finish warranty on the Ventana line.
Warranty terms change over time. Riley’s team can print the current version of your specific warranty for your files at install.
Installing Your Safe-Way Ventana Series in Scottsdale & the Phoenix Metro
Why Farnsworth is Your Local Safe-Way Installer
Farnsworth Garage Door Service is an active local Safe-Way dealer serving Mesa and the greater Phoenix area, and every install is handled by our in-house install team — not sub-contracted out. We carry Arizona ROC license #351810 and full commercial insurance, and our office answers the phone locally — no call-center runaround, no offshore booking system.
Because we install Safe-Way doors as our day job, our team knows the quirks of every collection — the wind-load spec new Queen Creek and Maricopa builds require, the right insulation tier for a west-facing Scottsdale garage (that’s where the Ambient Series’ R-17.68 polyurethane core earns its keep), and which Estate or Gentry window layout clears a low-headroom opening. When you buy a Safe-Way door from Farnsworth, you get a local installer who has installed the same collection dozens of times.
How the Install Works
-
Free in-home consultation
A Farnsworth installer walks the opening with you, measures, talks through the colors and options, and hands you a written quote — no obligation, no pressure.
-
Precise measurement
We measure the width, height, headroom, and side-room of your existing opening to spec the exact door build for your home — no surprises on install day.
-
Removal & haul-away of your old door
On install day our team removes your old door, cleans up the driveway, and hauls the old sections away. It's always included in the written quote — never a separate line item.
-
New Safe-Way door installation
Farnsworth's in-house install team sets your new Safe-Way Ventana Series — track, torsion, panels, opener drawback, and safety-sensor alignment. No sub-contractors.
-
Final tuning & walkthrough
Balance check, tension set, and a walkthrough of how your new door and opener work — remote, keypad, safety reverse, and manual release.
After the Install
Farnsworth doesn't disappear after install day. If something needs adjusting — a track alignment, a rattle, an opener travel-limit tweak — give us a call and we come back out. We offer courtesy tune-ups to keep the door running quietly, and we handle warranty service for both the Safe-Way door itself and the install workmanship. If a part needs replacing under warranty, we coordinate the claim with Safe-Way for you.
That's the "buy with confidence" side of buying from a local dealer instead of a national chain: one number to call for service, one team that knows your install, one relationship. Most of our Safe-Way installs turn into repeat customers — opener replacements, second-door installs, and the referrals that follow.
Farnsworth installs Safe-Way Safe-Way Ventana Series across the Phoenix metro: Mesa (home base), Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Tempe, Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, San Tan Valley, Maricopa, and Guadalupe.

Common Safe-Way Ventana Series Configurations
Most of the Safe-Way Ventana Series installs we do across Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Tempe, and the wider Phoenix area fall into one of these two openings. Yours might be different — we measure at the free in-home consultation and quote the exact size for your home.
Two-car Ventana Series install
Approx. 16' wide × 7' or 8' tall
The single 16-foot two-car door is the most common configuration on Phoenix-area homes. On a two-car Ventana Series, we recommend a Ventana Model 551 build with insulated tempered glass and a powder-coat or anodized finish for any attached garage — the extra insulation makes a real difference on the wall the garage shares with your bedroom or living room. Five standard Ventana design styles with 2, 4, 5, or 6 glass panels per section (door width sets the standard count) scales cleanly across the wider opening, and you can dial in the exact color and glass style (Clear, Bronze, Smoked, Frosted, Reeded, Water Glass, Aquatex, Rain, Obscure, Mirrored, and more) and frame finish that matches your home.
One-car Ventana Series install
Approx. 8' or 9' wide × 7' tall
Common on townhomes, casita conversions, and homes with a two-single-door layout instead of one wide door. For a one-car Ventana Series, a Ventana build on the medium-frame Model 450 or heavy-frame Model 550 with clear anodized aluminum and your chosen glass is the practical default — enough performance for an attached garage without paying for the top-tier build on a smaller door. Same five standard Ventana design styles with 2, 4, 5, or 6 glass panels per section (door width sets the standard count), same color palette, same warranty as the two-car version — just a narrower opening. multiple custom panel configurations are available — we confirm the frame model, glass, and finish together before the factory order is placed.
Replace, Upgrade, or New Construction
We install the Safe-Way Ventana Series across three scenarios most homeowners in the Phoenix area come to us for — whether you're replacing a door that's finally given up, upgrading from a builder-grade panel, or specifying doors on new construction.
Replace an aging door with the Safe-Way Ventana Series
Your existing door is 15-30 years old, the panels are dented or faded, the springs are cycling through their last thousand openings, and the annual repair calls are stacking up. We remove the old door, hardware, and tracks, install the new Safe-Way Ventana Series with all-new hardware, re-set the torsion springs to the correct IPPT for the door weight, program your existing opener (or install a new one), and haul the old door away the same day. Free written quote on the front end, local Safe-Way dealer relationship on the back end.
Upgrade to the Safe-Way Ventana Series
You're moving from a solid steel door on a contemporary home whose owner wants natural light and a modern glass presence — the Ventana Series is Safe-Way's contemporary statement door — 2-inch tongue-and-groove aluminum sections, low-profile struts, 14 standard glass options in DSB, tempered, insulated, or insulated-tempered builds, plus Dark Bronze and Black anodized finishes. Made for Scottsdale, Arcadia, and North Phoenix modern builds. Your upgrade path also includes insulated or insulated-tempered glass, or insulated pebble-grain aluminum panels, for a comfortable attached garage — the tier we specify most often on attached Phoenix-area garages because the thermal payback shows up on every July and August electric bill.
New construction Safe-Way Ventana Series
Building a new custom home or handling a major renovation? Safe-Way Ventana Series factory lead time is factory-order lead times vary by configuration — we confirm a real delivery date with your written quote, so we build the order timing into your construction schedule. Rough-opening walkthrough before drywall, coordinated install once the door opening is dried in, and we work directly with builders and owners across Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Tempe, and the wider Phoenix area.
How Much Does an Safe-Way Ventana Series Cost, and What Determines the Price?
Every Safe-Way Ventana Series we install in the Phoenix area is custom-configured to your specific home, so there isn't a single sticker price we can post that will actually match the door you end up with. What we can tell you is exactly what moves the number — six factors, in plain English, so you can walk into the conversation with your eyes open instead of guessing at online ranges from companies that have never seen your opening.
Rather than a generic range that won't match your home, we send a local Safe-Way dealer out to your driveway, measure your opening, walk you through the panel, insulation, color, window, and hardware choices, and hand you a written itemized quote. Free, no obligation, no pressure. Here are the six inputs we work through together.
The installed price on any Safe-Way Ventana Series in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Tempe, and the wider Phoenix area depends on the six factors below. We walk each one with you in person and put the result in writing.
Size
Door size
Single-car, double-car, and oversized openings each carry their own material and hardware footprint — the single biggest driver of installed price.
Insulation
Insulation tier
Single-, double-, or triple-layer construction. Higher tiers cost more up front and pay back all summer in cooler garages across Mesa, Phoenix, and Chandler.
Windows
Window options
The number of windows, glass style, and upgrades like Frost, Dark Tint, obscure texture, or insulated glazing all shift the number on your quote.
Hardware
Decorative hardware
Optional handles, straps, and hinges dial up curb appeal — they're a la carte, so you only pay for the pieces you actually want on the door.
Wind Load
Wind-load reinforcement
Safe-Way's engineered wind-load builds (rated for 120, 130, and 140 mph design wind speeds) for Arizona monsoon straight-line winds, HOA standards, or homeowners insurance requirements add material to the build.
Included
Removal & haul-away
Farnsworth's written quote always includes removing your old door, cleaning up your driveway, and hauling the old sections away — not a separate line item.
HOA & architectural approval ready. Safe-Way's carriage-house designs are widely accepted in Arizona HOA communities — Silverleaf, DC Ranch, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Verde River, Val Vista Lakes, Power Ranch, Morrison Ranch, and more. Farnsworth handles your architectural review paperwork if your HOA requires it.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Ventana full-view glass garage door cost installed?
Frame model (450 vs. 550/551), glass spec (DSB through insulated tempered), finish (anodized vs. custom powder coat), and size drive the number — full-view aluminum sits at the premium end of the catalog. We measure, configure the build with you, and deliver a free written itemized quote.
What glass options does the Ventana offer?
Fourteen standard options — Clear, Bronze, Smoked, Frosted, Mirrored, Reeded, Thin Reeded, Water Glass, Aquatex, Single Glue Chip, Rain Water, Obscure, and Industrex — in DSB, DSB tempered, insulated, or insulated tempered builds. Consult-the-factory options go further; the glass brochure in the Downloads section below shows each one.
Is a glass garage door practical in Arizona heat?
With the right spec, yes. We typically quote insulated or insulated-tempered glass (Model 551) with a frosted or tinted finish for west exposures, and insulated pebble-grain aluminum panels for privacy bands. A glass door will never match an R-17.68 Ambient thermally — we're honest about that — but for the right elevation it's worth it.
What finishes can I get on the Ventana frame?
Clear anodized aluminum is standard, with Dark Bronze and Black anodized as newer options, and custom powder coat colors by factory quote — including matches to most Safe-Way factory door colors so the frame ties into your trim and stucco.
How big can a Ventana door be?
The medium-frame Model 450 runs to 14'2" wide by 14' tall; the heavy-frame Models 550 and 551 run to 24'2" wide by 16' tall. That covers oversized RV bays and true three-car spans — and multiple custom panel configurations are available.
Can I use a Ventana on a garage-gym or office conversion?
It's the classic pick for exactly that — a full-view wall that opens. Insulated tempered glass on the 551 frame keeps the space comfortable, and privacy comes from frosted, reeded, or obscure glass rather than curtains.
What warranty comes with a Ventana door?
A 5-year limited section warranty on models 450, 550, and 551 — verified in Safe-Way's published Warranty Information document — plus 3-year hardware coverage. We hand you the current warranty PDF with your quote.

Why Choose Farnsworth for Your Safe-Way Install
Local Mesa-based family business

Local Safe-Way dealer
Farnsworth is an active local Safe-Way dealer serving Mesa and the greater Phoenix area. Every Safe-Way door we install is ordered factory-direct through our dealer account — no third-party distributor, no rotating retailer, no sub-contracted install crew.
Multi-brand dealer
We're dealers for Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Invicta, and Safe-Way — five of the top residential garage door manufacturers in North America. That means we recommend the door that actually fits your home, not the one brand we're forced to push. If a different manufacturer is the better call for your project, we'll tell you.
